Handicap Cart Request
The Western Golf Association will evaluate, on a case-by-case basis, any request to use a handicap spectator cart at WGA championships due to a claimed permanent disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Each spectator seeking a golf cart for himself/herself due to a disability under the ADA must complete and submit the WGA's cart request form to the WGA by July 19, 2024. The host club has a limited number of carts available for handicap cart requests. Cart assignments will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap spectators must present their placard at Tournament Headquarters prior to getting a golf cart.
Please note that requests due to "temporary" injuries or impairments that do not qualify as a "disability" under the ADA will not be granted. For your information, a disability protected by the ADA is "a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual." 42 U.S.C.S. §12102 (2001). Please note, fields with an asterisk (*) are required, including an explanation attachment.
